Umarkhed Takes the Lead in Voter Mapping, Yavatmal City Lags Behind

YAVATMAL: As part of the ongoing efforts to streamline and update electoral rolls, the district administration has released the latest figures for voter mapping across various constituencies. The data reveals a significant disparity in progress, with Umarkhed emerging as the frontrunner, while the district headquarters, Yavatmal, records the slowest pace.

The mapping process, aimed at ensuring a transparent and verified voter database, shows varied success rates across the seven key constituencies of the district.Umarkhed constituency has achieved the highest completion rate at 73.24%. It is followed closely by Digras, which has successfully mapped 71.32% of its registered voters.

Constituencies such as Wani (65.37%), Pusad (64.21%), Arni (62.45%), and Ralegaon (62.30%) are maintaining a consistent pace, with more than half of their electoral mapping already completed.

 Surprisingly, the Yavatmal constituency, which has the highest number of registered voters (3,80,824), is at the bottom of the list. It is the only constituency yet to cross the halfway mark, currently standing at 47.69%.

With the election machinery gearing up, the district administration is expected to intensify the drive in low-performing areas. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in the Yavatmal constituency have reportedly been directed to accelerate the door-to-door verification and mapping process to meet the upcoming deadlines.

Citizens are encouraged to cooperate with visiting officials to ensure their details are correctly updated in the digital electoral system.
