LCB Arrested Two Criminals in two separate operation.

Yavatmal:  Yavatmal Local Crime Branch (LCB) successfully conducted two separate operations, resulting in the arrest of a long-time absconding criminal and another individual carrying an illegal weapon.

Acting on a tip-off on February 2, 2026, the LCB team was tracking wanted criminals in Yavatmal city. They received confidential information regarding Rizwan urf Jumma Pirsaab Shah (26), a resident of wasim layout Bhosa road, Yavatmal.Rizwan had been on the run since the registration of Case No. 1442/2023 at the Awadhutwadi Police Station, involving serious charges under sections 457, 380, 511, and 34 of the IPC. Police spotted him at Bhavani Chowk, and after verifying his identity via his Aadhaar card, he confessed to his crimes. Following a medical examination, he was handed over to the Awadhutwadi police for further legal proceedings.

In a second incident during routine patrolling near the Postal Ground area, the LCB team received information about a man carrying a sharp weapon near Stadium.

The police cordoned off the area and apprehended Rohit urf Maya Gajanan Bramhankar (28), a resident of Jamankar Nagar, Yavatmal. Upon searching him, a sharp iron knife (valued at approximately ₹500) was recovered. A case has been registered against him under the Arms Act, and he has been handed over to the Yavatmal City Police Station.

The operations were carried out under the guidance of Shri Kumar Chinta (Superintendent of Police, Yavatmal), Shri Ashok Thorat (Additional Superintendent of Police),Shri Satish Chavre (Police Inspector, LCB), API Manish Gawande, PSI Gajanan Rajamlu, and several other officers including Sajid, Prashant Hedau, Rupesh Pali, Yogesh Dagwar, Sunil Pathade, Deva Hole, and Akash Suryavanshi the dedicated team included in it.
