Maharashtra Election Commission Announces Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026

BLO Home Visits to Begin from June 30

Yavatmal :-The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra, has officially announced the launch of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of the voter lists. As part of this comprehensive drive, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct mandatory home visits across the state from June 30 to July 29, 2026.

The primary objective of this intensive initiative is to ensure complete accuracy in the electoral rolls. The election commission has shared the core motto for this campaign,"No eligible voter will be left behind, and no ineligible person will be included."

To ensure a smooth process, the election commission has issued the important directives for voters such as Citizens are advised to verify their or their parents' existing details (such as Name, Constituency, Part Number, and Serial Number) beforehand via the official website voters.eci.gov.in or the ECINet App. During the home visit, voters must fill out the required information in the enumeration form provided by the BLO, sign it, hand over one copy to the officer, and securely keep a signed acknowledgement copy for themselves.

If a citizen's or their parents' name is missing from the previous SIR list, they must keep any one of the following valid documents ready for verification:

   1. Birth Certificate

   2. Passport

   3. 10th Standard (Matriculation) or Educational Certificate

   4. Residence Certificate (Domicile)

   5. Caste Certificate

   6. Identity/Pension Card of Government or Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) employees

   7. Family Registration Certificate from State/Local Authority

   8. Government-issued Land or House Allotment Certificate

   9. Forest Rights Certificate

   10. Proof of National Register of Citizens (NRC)

   11. Identity Card/Certificate issued before July 1, 1987, by Banks, Post Offices, LIC, or the Government

   12. Aadhaar Card (accepted as valid identity proof)
