PUNE:- The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE), Pune, has officially postponed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026, which was scheduled to be held tomorrow, June 28, 2026, across 1,028 centers in the state.

The decision comes after a major security breach came to light in Bhiwandi early this morning, June 27, 2026.

According to an official notification issued by the MSCE, the Bhiwandi Police conducted a raid in the early hours of Saturday based on confidential information that certain individuals possessed confidential details regarding the TET question paper.

Following the raid, officials from the Maharashtra State Council of Examination were immediately called to the spot to verify the material. Upon urgent cross-verification, it was discovered that some questions found in the possession of the suspects matched the actual question paper prepared for the June 2026 TET exam. A formal case has been registered by the police at the Bhiwandi Police Station.

The council noted that in light of recent irregularities reported in the NEET 2026 exams, they had already taken comprehensive security measures. However, to maintain absolute transparency, fairness, and the integrity of the examination process, the council has decided to postpone the exam until further notice so that a thorough investigation can be conducted.

"The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) scheduled for June 28, 2026, stands postponed. Updated information and fresh dates regarding the examination will be published soon on the official website of the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (www.mscepune.in)."
