Yavatmal:-In a startling revelation regarding the municipal administration, Dr. Niraj Waghmare, Group Leader and Corporator of Yavatmal Municipal Council (representing Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi), has filed a formal complaint with the City Police Station concerning "missing" municipal staff.
According to the official records of the Yavatmal Municipal Council, five employees—four sanitation workers (Safai Kamgar) and one Ward Peon (Shipai)—have been appointed to serve Ward No. 10.
However, Dr. Waghmare alleges a major discrepancy between records and reality. Only one worker, identified as Mr. Nikhil Chavre, is actually present and performing duties on the ground. The other three sanitation workers and the ward peon are completely missing from the site.
Despite their absence, the Municipal Council administration claims these employees are present and continues to disburse their regular monthly salaries.
Demand for Investigation
The letter states that this situation has created significant confusion and suspicion among the local citizens. Dr. Waghmare has urged the Thanedar (Station House Officer) of Yavatmal City Police to investigate the whereabouts of these four "missing" employees and uncover whether this is a case of administrative corruption or "ghost employment."
> "Citizens are asking where are these four employees who are never seen on duty but are being paid from the public exchequer?"
