Guardian Minister Sanjay Rathod Launched Digital Self-Enumeration in Yavatmal

Yavatmal: The first phase of India’s 16th Census officially commenced in the district yesterday with the launched of the Digital Self-Enumeration campaign. Guardian Minister Sanjay Rathod inaugurated the initiative by performing his own self-enumeration.

The launch event, organized jointly by the Directorate of Census Operations and the Office of the District Collector (Principal Census Officer), was held at Bachat Bhavan on Friday. The ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including CEO Mandar Patki, SP Kumar Chinta, Chief Conservator of Forests Dr. Kishore Mankar, Additional Collector Anil Khandagale, Resident Deputy Collector Aniruddha Bakshi, SDO Gopal Deshpande, and Tehsildar Vidya Shinde.

Focuses on Houselisting and Housing Census conducted through digital platforms. Citizens can voluntarily fill in their details from May 1 to May 15, 2026. The process can be completed online at https://se.census.gov.in. This digital method allows residents to submit their information safely and conveniently from their homes. After completion, a unique Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID) is generated, which must be shared with the enumerator during their subsequent field visit.

Speaking at the event, Minister Sanjay Rathod emphasized that the Census is a task of national importance. "The digital self-enumeration process is secure, easy, and user-friendly. I urge all citizens of Yavatmal district to participate actively in this national duty and complete their self-enumeration by May 15," he stated.

District authorities highlighted that while enumerators will still conduct door-to-door visits starting from May 16, the self-enumeration option empowers citizens to ensure their data is recorded accurately and at their own convenience.
