YAVATMAL: A tragic incident unfolded near Yavatmal city as three students drowned in Takli Lake, sending shockwaves through the local community. This heartbreaking event brings the death toll due to drowning in the area to five within just four days.

According to local reports, a group of students had entered the lake when five of them started struggling in deep water. Nearby locals managed to act quickly and successfully rescued two students, saving their lives.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the disaster management team rushed to the spot and launched an intensive search and rescue operation. After two hours of continuous effort, the team recovered the bodies of the three deceased students.

With five drowning deaths reported in four days, local residents have raised serious concerns regarding safety measures around local water bodies. Authorities have strongly urged residents, particularly students, to avoid venturing into deep and hazardous waters.
