Mumbai: In view of the promise made regarding minority certificates, the Director of Primary Education on Wednesday postponed the minority status certificates given to 20 special schools in the state. This includes five schools in Mumbai owned by Poddar Education Trust.

 Questions were raised continuously for a month regarding minority certificates given in some schools. Or in this regard, parents and parent organizations would have raised their voice at various places in the state. some minority status schools Of the 20 private schools whose minority status certificate has been postponed, 6 are in Mumbai. There are 5 schools of Poddar Education Trust. The remaining 10 schools are from Buldhana, Amravati, Yavatmal and Chandrapur districts of Vidarbha, while 1 school is from Sambhajinagar, 2 from Thane district and 1 school from Kolhapur.
