Yavatmal LCB Cracks 7 Burglary Cases
Two Arrested, One Juvenile Detained

YAVATMAL: In a major breakthrough against property-related crimes, the Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Yavatmal Police has busted a burglary ring, solving seven distinct cases of housebreaking across the district. The police have successfully recovered stolen valuables and cash worth ₹2,25,960 during the operation.
Following instructions from Yavatmal Superintendent of Police (SP) Kumar Chinta to conduct parallel investigations into the rising number of unsolved thefts and burglaries in the region, LCB Police Inspector Satish Chaware deployed special teams for patrolling. On May 16, 2026, acting on precise information received from a confidential informant, the LCB team raided multiple locations and rounded up three suspects.
The apprehended individuals have been identified as Suresh alias Jadu Narendra Malande (24), a resident of Parva, currently residing at Athwadi Bazar, Yavatmal.Rahul alias Macchi Waman Wagdare (25), a resident of Talav Fail, Yavatmal. A Juvenile in Conflict with Law (JCL).
During intense interrogation, the first two prime suspects—Suresh and Rahul—confessed to their involvement in six different burglaries registered across various police stations in the district. Based on their confessions, gold and silver jewelry along with cash totaling ₹1,74,700 were recovered.

The detained juvenile independently confessed to a seventh housebreaking case registered at the Yavatmal City Police Station (Crime No. 379/2026). The police recovered gold ornaments and cash worth ₹51,260 directly from his possession.
All recovered valuables, totaling ₹2,25,960, along with the two arrested accused and the minor, have been handed over to the Yavatmal City Police Station for further legal processing and investigation.
The successful operation was executed under the direct guidance of Yavatmal SP Kumar Chinta, Additional SP Ashok Thorat, and LCB Police Inspector Satish Chaware.
The operational team comprised Assistant Police Inspector (API) Manish Gawande, Police Sub-Inspectors (PSI) Gajanan Rajmallu and Shivshankar Kayande, along with police personnel Ajay Dole, Rupesh Pali, Yogesh Dagwar, Prashant Hedau, Rituraj Medve, Nilesh Rathod, Milind Darekar, Mahesh Wakode, Pratik Neware, Sunil Paithane, Akash Suryawanshi, and police driver Yuvraj Jadhav.
