Yavatmal:- Under the State Government's 'School Praveshotsav 2026' initiative, 78 Class-1 and Class-2 officers have been appointed to visit schools across Yavatmal district. These officers will be present at their assigned schools on June 30, 2026, to welcome newly enrolled students and inspect various school facilities.
District Collector Vikas Meena has issued official orders regarding this, and the initiative is being implemented as per the directives of the State School Education Department. The objective of this initiative is to create a joyful and enthusiastic environment among students at the beginning of the new academic year, increase school attendance, and promote quality education.
The appointed officers will inspect physical infrastructure, sports equipment, drinking water facilities, toilets, textbook availability, the Mid-Day Meal scheme, and hygiene habits in schools. Furthermore, if fundamental issues such as dilapidated/dangerous buildings, or toilets lying defunct due to lack of maintenance or water are found, instructions will be issued to the concerned authorities to take immediate necessary action.
The District Collector has appealed to the appointed officers to be present at their designated schools at 11:00 AM on June 30, and to celebrate the 'School Praveshotsav' with great enthusiasm through the active participation of students, teachers, headmasters, and local villagers.
