YAVATMAL :- Dr. Alok Mohanlal Gupta, a native of Yavatmal and a renowned specialist in piles and fistula treatment, has been honoured with this year's Sushrut Ratna Award. The "Sushrut Ratna Award 2026," a national-level award for his unparalleled contribution to the treatment and surgery of piles and fistula, was presented at the Shalya Con 2026 event organised by the National Sushrut Association at the National Institute of Ayurveda Jaipur. The award was presented by Secretary of the Ministry of AYUSH Government of India Padmashri Dr Rajesh Kotecha, Vice-Chancellor of the National Institute of Ayurveda Dr Sanjeev Sharma, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dr. P. Hemant Kumar and Padmashri Dr. Manoranjan Sahu. Surgical experts in Ayurveda from various fields across India were present in the programme. Dr. Alok Gupta is receiving accolades from Yavatmal NIMA, Central NIMA, Sushrut Integrated Fellow for Benign Anorectal Diseases, Ayurveda Proctology Association, and people from all walks of life for receiving this prestigious award. Besides his medical practice, Dr. Alok Gupta is also active in social work and serves as the secretary of Seva Samarpan Pratishthan and is associated with several other organizations including Olava Foundation and Prayas etc. Everyone is congratulating dr.Gupta on being honoured.
