Yavatmal– In a historic achievement for representation in India’s premier civil services, 53 Muslim candidates have successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. The results, declared by the Union Public Service Commission on Friday, March 6, 2026, highlight a significant surge in success compared to the previous year.

Data indicates that the number of Muslim candidates making it to the final merit list has nearly doubled from 2024, when only 26 candidates from the community were selected out of 1,009. This year, the UPSC recommended a total of 958 candidates for appointment to prestigious roles in the IAS, IFS, and IPS.

Four Muslim candidates broke into the elite Top 100 list, led by A R Rajah Mohaideen, who secured All India Rank (AIR) 7, making him the highest-ranked candidate from the community this year.

Other notable high achievers included Ifra Shams Ansari (Rank 24), Nabiya Parvez (Rank 29), Hassan Khan (Rank 95).

The successful candidates represent a diverse geographical spread, with many hailing from modest backgrounds. Following the top 100, several others achieved strong rankings, including Arfa Usmani (Rank 124) and Waseem Ur Rehman (Rank 157).
