RIYADH: The Shawwal crescent moon has been officially sighted in Saudi Arabia this evening, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Consequently, the Kingdom will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow, Friday, March 20, 2026.

The Saudi Supreme Court announced the sighting after receiving confirmed reports from various lunar observation committees across the country. Following the announcement, preparations for Eid prayers have been finalized at the Two Holy Mosques (Masjid al-Haram and Masjid al-Nabawi) and thousands of designated prayer grounds and mosques nationwide.

Neighboring Gulf nations, including the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait, are also expected to follow Saudi Arabia in celebrating the festival on Friday. Eid-ul-Fitr is a time of joy, charity, and community, as Muslims celebrate the completion of the month-long fast of Ramadan.
