Tremors Felt in Yavatmal’s Pusad and Vasant Nagar

 Yavatmal/Pusad:-An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck Hingoli district today, with mild tremors being felt across several parts of the neighboring Yavatmal district, including Pusad, Vasant Nagar, and surrounding localities. The sudden tremors caused brief moments of anxiety among local residents.

According to preliminary reports released by the district administration, there have been no reports of casualties or significant damage to property in Yavatmal district. Authorities are currently conducting a ground-level assessment to ensure the safety of all citizens.

The Disaster Management Department, Revenue Administration, and local bodies have been placed on high alert. "All concerned agencies are closely monitoring the situation and are fully prepared to respond to any emergency," a senior officer stated.

The administration has appealed to the public to remain calm and not panic. Authorities have specifically cautioned citizens against falling prey to or spreading misinformation on social media.

"Citizens are requested to rely only on official updates. In the event of aftershocks, residents should immediately move to open spaces, stay away from weak structures, and follow all safety protocols," the official advisory added.
